Jim Lincoln from the 'Winnebago Revel 4x4' Facebook group has created a better support mechanism for the outdoor table. Below are his schematics and a video that I took of his new invention. Looks like a big improvement to me, hereafter referred to as the 'Lincoln Leg'.
